Five acquired companies, one Microsoft 365 tenant, ninety days
Challenge
A publishing company grew from 300 to 450 people by acquisition, then found itself running five separate email tenants, three identity providers and overlapping licenses nobody owned. Every new hire took two days to onboard and no one could say with confidence who had access to what.
Work
Ran a 90-day current-state assessment across all five entities, then consolidated into a single Microsoft 365 tenant with Google Workspace interoperability for the teams that needed it. Rebuilt identity on SSO, standardized onboarding and offboarding into a documented playbook, and renegotiated the overlapping vendor contracts as a single book of business.
Result
Consolidation finished inside the 90-day window. Onboarding dropped from two days to under four hours. Annual software and vendor spend fell by $600,000 while the company was still growing.
